Put your feet up and relax....

I found this footstool last week and couldn’t wait to give it a makeover.

It was wearing this sassy number:

I bought a burlap sack at the World's Longest Yard Sale this summer for $8.00.  PERFECT!
(ummm..... not so perfect, I forgot to take a picture before I cut it up.
I know, I know, BAD blogger!)

The sassy material it was wearing was very easy to rip off so I started with a clean slate.

"Say ello to my lit-le fren...." (best Al Pacino voice)

ooooolaaa, I love this thing!  If you don't have a pneumatic staple gun, you should get one !! It's a must if you plan on any kind of upholstering project.

At first I'll admit I was a little skittish about the POW and puff of air that hits you and makes your hair fly back, but after a few minutes I was a stapling FOOL

Now I'm not sure I like the color of the legs and am trying to decide what to do with them.

I had the bottom of the burlap sack left over.  Not sure what to do with it yet.  Can you decoupage with burlap?  Pillow? Wall hanging?
hmmmm... I will put it in my future project file.

So it's Sunday, put your feet up and relax!

Oh the things I could do with one of those! Maybe I should put that on the Christmas wish list. Sure would be an electric staple gun. By the way, love the stool. I just found one myself for 30 cents at my GW sale its tore up but I can't wait to make it over :)

Cassie you should try to make it to the sale one year, it's a blast!! We live in Chattanooga so are in the thick of it. This was our first year and we had so much fun. Next year my Mom is coming up to babysit the dogs so we can go farther along! heh
